Choosing your mindset for each shot is a very important piece of playing good golf and keeping enjoyment level high.
Love the challenge is the "play" mindset.
Having fun seeing what challenges you can overcome in the moment.
Fear the result is the "work" mindset.
Working hard trying to move toward the result of where you want to be.
Both have value.
But you have to be mindful of the balance.
Especially with young golfers.
Reinforcing the play mindset as often as possible helps maximize fun and engagement and minimize burnout and frustration.
