Aspire, Rewire, Achieve: Your 3 Step Success Map to Achieving Goals

Rewire: Tune Your Vehicle Systems for the Goal Journey


Changing your Patterns is one of the most challenging yet rewarding aspects of achieving your Goals.


Patterns are habits that dictate your daily behaviors.


They are stored in your subconscious mind.


To rewire patterns, you need repetitions that have three key traits:


  • Awareness – clear recognition of the current pattern AND the new pattern

  • Accuracy – correct execution of the new pattern at least 80% of the time

  • Consistency – daily repetitions are critical in the re-pattern process


Imagine your old patterns as rivers of momentum that have been flowing for years.



To change the momentum of the rivers you need a daily strategy, you need commitment to execute the strategy AND you need Energy to overcome challenges in the process.


Start by identifying the patterns that are the biggest obstacles to achieving your Goal.


For example, if your Goal is to enhance your mental performance in sports, behaviors like negative self-talk or excessive emotional reactions to triggers are big obstacles to achieving that Goal.



Once identified, make a plan to gradually replace the old negative pattern with a new positive habit.


Consistency is crucial—small, consistent actions lead to significant change over time.

Leverage the power of intrinsic motivation by aligning your new patterns with your core values and goals.


Remember, changing patterns can be a very challenging journey.


Approach it with patience, persistence, and unshakeable belief in the value of your Goal and you will be able to effectively Rewire your patterns.



Helpful Hint: Successes Progressions are the Key to Change


Small successes are the building blocks for lasting change.


When you focus on achieving minor victories, you create a momentum that propels you towards larger goals.


This approach, which I refer to as Success Progressions, emphasizes the power of incremental improvement.

Whether it's improving focus, refining a technique, or increasing practice consistency, these small steps add up to significant progress.


Achieving small successes also boosts your Self-Belief.


Each minor win reinforces the belief that you can overcome challenges, making it easier to tackle progressively bigger challenges.


Allow yourself to fully enjoy these small milestones and use them as motivation to keep pushing forward.


Helpful Hint: Systematically Strengthen Your Self Belief


If you want to achieve a Goal you have to overcome Challenges.


The stronger your Self-Belief is the easier it is to overcome Challenges.


There is a BIG difference between WANTING to overcome a challenge and BELIEVING you can.


To systematically strengthen your sense of self-belief, consciously choose small challenges to overcome each day.


Every time you succeed in overcoming a challenge... you build your Self Belief.


It is also very helpful to view challenges as opportunities to learn rather than threats to your self-worth.


Traditionally we view the results to a Challenge as either a Success or a Failure.


Rewire Your Thinking.



The result of Challenges is either a Success or a Learning Experience.


There are NO Failures!!


Remember, building Self-Belief is a continuous process.


With each Challenge you overcome, you strengthen your Self Belief and smooth out the road to your Goal.
