Kids and Brain Waves

Did you ever wonder why young kids learn new golf skills so much faster than adults?

A big part of the reason is brain waves.

Your movement patterns are stored in the subconscious.

The dominant brainwave pattern of the subconscious is Theta.

From age 3 to 7 years old, the dominant brainwave for children is Theta.

Because their brain waves are dominated by Theta, it's much easier for them to store and access new patterns.

As adults, our brain waves are dominated by Beta.

Which means we have to learn how to move from Beta through Alpha to Theta before we can store and access movement patterns.

Which is why learning how to access the zone is so important for adults.

The Zone is on the border of Alpha and Theta which means you have excellent access to the patterns stored in Theta.

It's like being a kid again when it comes to being able to learn and access new patterns.

If you try to hit golf shots from the beta brain wave frequency you will struggle.

Beta is the thinking brain.

It is for deciding what shot to hit.

Alpha and Theta are the body brain.

They are for hitting the shot.

As always, if you have any questions feel free to give me a shout.
