Fear... Focus... Flow Pt 3

We have chatted a bit about how to shift from Fear to Focus while performing.

But what about moving from Focus to Flow... so you can get more access to the Zone?

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐭.

It is one of the most powerful feelings you can have.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐙𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞.

It is also the absolute peak of athletic performance.

When your mind and body are totally in sync.

Yet... part of your mind literally shuts down when you are in the zone.

The part of your mind responsible for thinking.

Which means... one of the most important keys for moving from Focus to Flow is learning to quiet your thoughts on command when you swing a club.

This is why so many tour golfers are doing meditation and mindfulness training.

They know how important quieting thoughts is to their ability to play at the peak of their skills.

When you are under pressure is when your mind struggles the most with the distractions of thoughts and emotions.

Daily training to learn how to turn down the dial of distractions is the fastest way to learn how to shift from Focus to Flow more often.
